If you would like an unrestricted view into the effort that went into the cold war, then this place is worth every penny. The place is huge and no restrictive tour, you are free to look around, but there are staff available to answer any questions. Will be visiting again.
What a gem, visited 21.10.18, staff excellent, brimming with knowledge, happy to let you do your own thing, but there when you want to ask questions, made us feel very welcome. The bunker itself is amazing well worth the small entry fee. A real insight into the nuclear 60/70/80's with the early "public information messages" broadcast in the various rooms around the bunker. The real bonus for me was a look at the armory (coming soon I hope as a display piece). Top effort. There was even a friendly cat to greet you .
Loved it, really didn't know what to expect. The staff were all very well informed and ready to answer any and all questions. I was curious about the bikini alert.

Absolutely amazing experience I went with my squadron , as an RAF air cadet myself we only had 2 hours which I felt that I could have stayed for over three as it was an unbelievable day out . I will definitely be returning , the staff are all clued up with the bunker and can give you all of the information you will need , the only thing I would have done which I didn't was go into the tunnel under the floor and explore other parts of the bunker thoroughly. I was also quite shocked about the fact that it has a nice bar/social room and that what looks like a bungalow from the ground level is in fact a massive underground cold war era bunker .Absolute memorable experience, thank you to the staff and owner
